Behind the Lens: What’s New at Amy Tong Photography in 2026 ✨

It’s been a little while since my last update — after a busy year of capturing so many beautiful families, I took a short break over the holidays to recharge and spend time with my own. Now that 2026 is here, I’m so excited to be back in the studio and ready for another year of photographing your incredible milestones.

If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Amy, a professional photographer based in Sydney’s Inner West, specialising in newborn, baby, and family photography. If you’ve visited before — welcome back, and thank you for continuing to trust me with your family’s story. 💛

🌿 A Fresh Start in the Studio

The studio in Balmain has had a little refresh — new textures, fabrics, and props to create even more timeless and natural portraits. I’ve added some beautiful neutral tones (and a few subtle pops of colour!) that photograph perfectly on every skin tone and style.

Every session is designed to feel calm, relaxed, and personal — whether it’s your baby’s first professional photos or your annual family shoot. My goal this year is simple: to make every family feel at home from the moment you walk through the door.

🍼 Celebrating Every Stage

Over the years, I’ve learned that every stage of your baby’s first year has its own kind of magic:

• Newborn (0–6 weeks): soft, sleepy moments you’ll never forget

• Three months: those first smiles and curious little eyes

• Sitter stage (6–9 months): chubby rolls, giggles, and so much personality

• One year: standing, walking, or maybe even a cake smash celebration!
